Purpose of the Calculation

The Mystery Minds ROI Calculator estimates the potential business impact of stronger internal networking using transparent and easy-to-understand modeling assumptions.

The calculation provides an estimate of the potential financial impact across three key value drivers:

All calculations are based on conservative assumptions that can be adjusted to reflect your organization's specific circumstances.

Calculation Methodology

The ROI Calculator is based on a business model designed to quantify potential economic benefits in a transparent and realistic way without overstating the expected impact.

Wherever possible, the assumptions are informed by published research and established business metrics. Where no reliable or directly transferable benchmarks exist, we deliberately apply conservative modeling assumptions.

All input values can be customized to ensure the calculation reflects your organization's reality as closely as possible.

Why do we use Revenue per Employee?

To estimate the financial value of different business impacts, we use Revenue per Employee as a proxy for the average economic contribution of an employee.

Revenue per Employee is a widely used business performance metric. Although not every employee directly generates revenue, it provides a consistent and comparable basis for estimating the financial impact of increased productivity and efficiency.

Value Driver 1: More Effective Onboarding

Purpose of the Calculation

This section estimates the financial benefit of accelerating the onboarding process for new employees. By building meaningful internal connections early, new hires can access knowledge faster, identify the right colleagues more quickly, and become productive sooner.

Calculation Logic

New employees need time to understand processes, build relationships, and identify the right people within the organization. During this period, their productivity is typically lower than that of a fully onboarded employee.

For our model, we assume that new employees operate at 60% productivity during their first six months.
